Who We Are

Grace Pointe Baptist Church

Grace Pointe Baptist Church in Alexander City, Alabama, began with fourteen members who remained from a former work in the city. After seeking God in prayer for forty days, that small group agreed that God yet has work for His people to do in the community and beyond. Blessed with two buildings on a campus with a good location, Grace Pointe Baptist Church is engaged in worshiping God, loving people, and making disciples.

As a new work, we have the opportunity to shape the church of tomorrow today. Our foundation as faith in God’s Word and trust in His enabling power and provision through the Holy Spirit. All of God’s riches are available to us through the finished work of Jesus Christ, His Only Begotten Son. We invite everyone that will to come and worship God, love others, and make disciples together with us.

Worship

We believe that we are to worship God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. We seek to worship God in spirit and in truth. 

Discipleship

The Lord Jesus said we are to make disciples of all nations, teaching them to observe His commandments and instructions. We engage in being followers of Jesus and inviting and encouraging others to follow Him as His disciples. 

Community

We believe the church is not a mere building or structure. We are the body of Christ, making Him known and bringing His love to everyone. We engage in evangelism, service in the community, and fellowship with God and His people.
